A town called Alice

11th May - After a very noisy night, courtesy of the locals we went shopping then spent the morning at the Cultural Precinct, which consists of the Art Centre, that had a showing of Albert Namatjira and sons paintings among others,  The Museum of Central Australia a very interesting collection of geology of the area, history and wildlife display, The Strehlow Research Centre showcasing the work of Carl and Ted Strehlow among the Aborigines and the Central Australian Aviation Museum.  A very well set out precinct and so informative, we have to research some of the things we learnt about when we get home.
