Wrap up

1st  July- We got to Blackheath as it was getting dark so decided to stay in a motel - too cold for canvas. How nice to have so much room and Ray could watch the Swans thrash Greater Sydney in lovely accommodation. 3 degrees as we set off on a nostalgia trip, firstly to church in Springwood where we caught up with many friends and family then to Emu Plains to visit friends we haven’t seen for 10 years and had a lovely time catching up on all the news, then on to Narrabeen and the best caravan park we’ve stayed in, a pity we couldn’t enjoy it a bit longer. Thank goodness we went to Sydney on Sunday afternoon, the traffic was bad enough then.

2nd-3rd July - Ray picked up the new board this morning and we called in on both our mums on the way back to Forster where we are camping at Bull's Paddock for the night, we are sooooo tired ready for a holiday up the coast where we won’t be moving on each day or two. Getting to know our new grand daughter, she's so gorgeous (so is her big brother) here's a photo of her especially for great nanna

We'll spend the rest of our holiday between Sawtell and Scotts Head so Ray can surf before going back to work next month but for now this is it for this blog and thanks for reading,

And now, the end is near
And so we face the final distance
We’ve raced across 3 states
and all of this at Ray’s insistance
We've loved the sights we’ve seen
We’ve travelled many roads and byways
And more, much more than this
We’ve been a long way
Regrets, I've had a few
And here is just a few I mention
(like missed photo opportunities, not videoing the crazy emu that didn’t know where to go on the road in the Bungle Bungle and most of all MY LAPTOP to save room the size of a briefcase!)
We've walked, we've flown and swam
But not had our fill, of this great country
And now’s the time to have a break
If just for our own sanity sake
Reflect on all we’ve seen and done
Then plan the next exciting venture
And hopefully all this will be
Before we have DEMENTIA
